Button Inside of My Soul
Last night I found a button inside of my soul
it was red and it was blinking slow
I touched it but I didn't press
what on earth could it redress in me?
I woke up this morning with no kids in the house
took me a minute just to figure it out
they were with Adeline
so I could have a time
nothing happened so I went on out to the lake
thought about some things I was trying to make
out of something old left out in the cold
it's a drop dead gorgeous day emerging like this
gonna chase some small town bliss
drink it in
drink it in like oxygen
drink it in
Last night I found a button inside of my soul
it was red and it was blinking slow
Touched it but I didn't press
what on earth could it redress in me?

The groove on Badala is an absolute monster. If this doesn't move you, you might as well check yourself into the ER to make sure you aren't dead because the groove is DEEP and HARD. Polygondwanajams

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
