Innocence of Man
They're waiting for us up in the hills
scheming silently with their ills
with groping lights and whispered veins
a minion keeping track of their gains
they're gonna beat our brains
they'll do it once and again and again
an iron stain
We'll secret the children into the wood
turn down their eyes and put up their hoods
gather up all that we can stand
burn it and bury it in the sand
we're gonna do what we can
but we will not lose the innocence of man
innocence of man
of man

The groove on Badala is an absolute monster. If this doesn't move you, you might as well check yourself into the ER to make sure you aren't dead because the groove is DEEP and HARD. Polygondwanajams

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
